South Africa Second on the All Africa Games

All Africa games taking place in Morocco where South Africa is currently sitting second, on the medals table with 63 medals consisting of 27 Golds, 20 Silvers and 16 Bronze medals.

SA athletic team is playing a vital role in narrowing the gap between them and the table leaders Egypt, who have 51 Golds, 71 Silvers and 43 Bronze medals amounting to a total of 165 medals for the Egyptians, With 670 Medals already issued to various countries. 

There are 37 National teams participating in this year tournament. All eyes were on SA’s mens 4×100 m relay team who settled for Bronze medal, the team was formed by Henricho Bruintjies, Anaso Jobodwane, Chederick Van Wyk and Thandolwenkosi Dlodlo. Jo-Ane Van Dyk in Javelin scored a distance of 55.38 metres which was enough to give place her on second position while Sunette Viljoen on the third place manage to do 53.44 metres.
